These General Terms and Conditions of online sale of tickets (hereinafter referred to as the “GTC”) apply to any Ticket purchase for a visit or the organisation of an event at Château La Verrerie (hereinafter referred to as the Tickets), operated by SC Château La Verrerie whose registered office is located at 1810 route du Luberon, 84360 Puget sur Durance - France (hereinafter referred to as “Château La Verrerie”) if this purchase is made via the website available at the Internet address (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”).

The Customer, as defined in Article 2 of these GTC, is asked to read the terms and conditions carefully which lay down the contractual relationship between the Customer and Château La Verrerie and the conditions applicable to the purchase of tickets online as well as the price schedule contained on the Website in the “Offers & Prices” section.

Confirmation of the order of a Ticket via the Website implies unreserved acceptance by the Customer of all the GTC of which he acknowledges having taken cognisance prior to validating his purchase.

The applicable GTC are those available on the Website on the date of purchase of the Ticket. Château La Verrerie reserves the right to adapt or modify the GTC, it being stated that changes to the GTC shall apply only to ticket purchases made after their date of entry into force as indicated on the Website.

All the terms defined below starting with an uppercase letter, whether they are used in the singular or in the plural, shall have the following meanings in the context of the GTC:

Tickets”: means any request to visit Château La Verrerie. These terms shall also be used as the basis for the reservation of special events such as the organisation of group visits or private events in the Château.

Customer”: means any adult person purchasing a Ticket on the Website who has accepted the GTC according to the provisions provided for in Article 3.2 below.

Price schedule”: means Château La Verrerie’s price schedule appearing on the Website in the “Offers & Prices” section.

3.1.1 Opening a personal account

For any initial order, the customer must first create a personal account and fill out the registration form provided for this purpose on the “create an account” tab of the Website.

Opening a personal account includes, in particular, entering two (2) identifiers: an email address and a password.

The Customer undertakes to complete the registration form taking care to give the necessary, complete and accurate information and, if necessary, to update it in the event of subsequent changes.

The Customer's identifiers are personal and must be kept confidential. The Customer shall refrain from disclosing them to a third party or transferring them.

The Customer is responsible for the use of his identifiers and, if necessary, it is his responsibility to immediately inform Château La Verrerie in writing of any use of his identifiers made without his knowledge so that Château La Verrerie can disable the said identifiers.

In order to process his request, the Customer must communicate to Château La Verrerie his complete identity as well as his identifier (email address).

3.1.2 Ordering

The Customer undertakes to fill out the order form taking care to give the necessary, complete and accurate information.

The Customer selects the type of tickets that he wishes to order by clicking on the “your ticket” tab and enters the number of Tickets. He may at any time check the selected Tickets by clicking on the “your selection” tab.

The amount of the Customer’s online order may not exceed €500.

Obtaining a voucher allowing free access or certain Tickets at a preferential price can only be made at Château La Verrerie’s cash desks, on presentation of documentary proof.

The Customer acknowledges having taken cognisance of the services, price reductions and, where appropriate, any free products or services he is able to claim for his visit (on the Website in the “Offers & Prices” section), it being specified that the services, price reductions or free services of products available on the Website may differ from the services, price reductions or free services of products that may be obtained by the Customer directly at the cash desk on the day of the visit.

Orders are subject to these GTC as well as to the General Terms and Conditions of use of the Website.

For safety reasons, the purchase of tickets does not guarantee access to Château La Verrerie in the event of large numbers of visitors that Château La Verrerie would be unable to receive due to a lack of capacity. In this case, the Ticket will remain usable if presented a second time by the Customer for all of the purchased services or may, at the Customer's choice, be immediately refunded at the Customer’s request, in accordance with Article 5.2.

By clicking on “Validate” at the end of the ordering process and by ticking the “I accept the GTC” box, the Customer states having read and accepted, unreservedly, all the GTC.

Online payment is made exclusively by Visa or MasterCard bank card or by PayPal.

After verification of the order and acceptance of the GTC according to the conditions referred to above, the Customer is redirected to a secure payment server on which he makes the online payment of the order by means of his bank card references, which includes the number, the expiry date and the cryptogram on the back of the card.

The amount of the order is debited from the Customer’s bank account on final validation of the transaction on the Website. Debit of the bank card is independent of printing of the Tickets.

The Website is protected by a security system.

Château La Verrerie guarantees that the encryption means and services used to secure the transactions have been authorised or declared in accordance with the legislation in force.

If payment is refused by the payment centre, the transaction is automatically cancelled. Any online purchase is firm and definitive. No cancellation or modification of the order by the Customer is possible once the payment has been confirmed.

After finalising his order, the Customer receives a purchase confirmation email (proof of transaction), sent automatically by the secure payment system. The transaction proof includes:

- a summary of the order;

- the date, time and amount of the transaction;

- a link to the Customer’s personal account enabling him to find his orders and reprint his Tickets.

Subject to the provisions laid down in Articles 3.2 and 5 of the GTC, no ticket may be returned, exchanged or refunded.

Any reproduction of the Ticket is prohibited.

Any resale of the Ticket is strictly prohibited.

The price of the Tickets is indicated in Euros and payable in this currency only. The price of the Tickets is stated on the Website. The applicable price is that in force on the day that the Customer places the order.

A printed copy of the purchase confirmation email sent by Château La Verrerie to the Customer is a Ticket.  Emails on mobile phones (e-tickets) are also accepted.

The purchase confirmation email may be printed by the Customer up to his visit date.

Good print quality is necessary. Tickets that are partially printed, soiled, damaged or illegible shall not be accepted and shall be considered as non-valid. To check that the print quality is good, the Customer must ensure that the information stated on it is easily readable.

In the event of loss or theft of a Ticket or a duplication of a Ticket, only the first person, presenting the said Ticket, shall be considered to be the legitimate holder of the Ticket and shall be admitted to Château La Verrerie.

Château La Verrerie disclaims all liability in the event of loss or theft of the Ticket. However, a duplicate may be issued at the cash desk on presentation of an identity document and following indication of the identifier and the booking date, provided the Ticket has not already been used.

Since the sale of Tickets for the visit of Château La Verrerie is a leisure activity service provided at a specific date or within a specified period, in accordance with the provisions of Article L.221-28 12° of the Consumer Code, the provisions of Article L.221-18 of the same Code relating to the right of withdrawal of the consumer are not applicable to the purchase of Tickets.

In the latter case and where the Customer can prove his inability to return at a later date, the value of the face price of the ticket paid by the Customer shall be refunded by Château La Verrerie to the exclusion of any other compensation or any indemnity.

Under these conditions, the refund shall be made subject to a written request by the Customer specifying the date on which he was unable to visit Château La Verrerie, accompanied by any document providing proof of this fact, on presentation of his bank account reference details and of his Ticket. Before any refund is given, the Ticket shall be invalidated by Château La Verrerie.
